The story behind Medici
Medici Music Fund is named after the Medici family of Renaissance Florence.
The Medici were bankers who used their capital to support artists, architects, composers and scholars. They financed the construction and decoration of churches such as San Lorenzo, commissioned works from artists like Botticelli and Michelangelo, and appointed court composers such as Heinrich Isaac to write ceremonial and sacred music.
Medici Music Fund follows a similar philosophy.
We work with independent artists who have already built momentum and provide the funding and strategic support needed to scale what is already working.
